Before you start:

*Hydrate yourself

*Wear proper footwear with grips & wear mittens

*Use a push-style shovel

*Warm up for 5-10 minutes to get your joints moving


 



Why warm up?

It is important with any exercise to warm up your body first! A good warm up will help you feel good during and after.


Benefits of warming up:

*Body temperature increases

*Blood releases more oxygen

*Your joints loosen up



 


How to Protect your back




  1. Push, don't throw

  2. Bend your knees/straight back

  3. Watch for ice
